Tax Trainee

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Tax Trainee to join our tax team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in tax, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to a variety of tax advisory and compliance work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies.
• Supporting senior staff with the preparation of tax calculations and tax compliance work.
• Researching and providing information on current tax legislation and industry developments.
• Liaising with clients to gather information and provide updates on tax matters.
• Assisting with the preparation of tax planning advice under the supervision of senior team members.
• Helping with administrative tasks and other general duties as required.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop within the field of tax. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A strong interest in tax, with a desire to pursue a professional qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
• A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow within the profession.
• A minimum of 6 in both English and Maths at GCSE and minimum of BCC at A-level (achieved or predicted), with at least a B in Mathematics, Economics, Financial Studies or Business Studies preferred.
